On a number of occasions we have supported boardroom meetings, adboards, film production meetings and read-throughs, where some of the collaborators have been in remote locations.
For us it began with a conversation with a film production company that had temporary offices in our building. They were concerened that, at read-throughs, the remote participants were unable to comprehend what was being said by people around the room, using just the Zoom laptop as an interface, and so they came to us looking for an omnidirectional microphone. We were able to set up and demonstrate what the end user would be experiencing in that scenario, and the difference it would make if we were to deploy suitable microphones closer to the participants in the room and, of course, the difference was absolutely clear.  Using small, neat, compact and punchy loudspeakers on tidy stands in the room we would also convey the remote participants back into the room with clarity and, with some care and processing, make sure that it wasn't fed back to those contributors, creating that perpetual (and annoying) feedback loop.   Since then we have supported a number of similar sessions, as well as boardroom meetings and collaborative discussions, at events where all is required to be recorded for transcription. The aim is to achieve this discreetly, with little or no physical interaction with the microphone itsef, to acheive a flow of conversation that is as natural as possible.
